Growth Hormone Support

CJC-1295

A GHRH analogue that amplifies your own growth hormone release for body composition, recovery, and anti-aging. Most often paired with ipamorelin for a synergistic GH pulse. Physician-prescribed and pharmacy-compounded for California patients.

Why patients choose it

Why patients choose CJC-1295

Amplifies your own GH

A more stable GHRH analogue that boosts both GH secretion and downstream IGF-1 — without injecting synthetic HGH.

Stacks with ipamorelin

Works through a different pathway than ipamorelin, so combined they produce a GH pulse larger than either alone.

Feedback stays intact

Your somatostatin feedback loop keeps regulating output, which supports a favorable profile for long-term, supervised use.

Overview

What CJC-1295 is

CJC-1295 is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) — the hypothalamic signal that tells the pituitary to release growth hormone. It was developed to have greater stability and a longer half-life than natural GHRH, which has a half-life of only a few minutes. By amplifying the GHRH signal, CJC-1295 increases both GH secretion and downstream IGF-1 production.

It is available in two forms: with DAC (extended half-life, weekly dosing) and without DAC (Mod GRF 1-29, daily dosing for pulsatile GH release). Most prescribing physicians prefer the without-DAC version for a more physiologic GH pattern — short half-life (~30 minutes), often combined with ipamorelin in the same injection.

Candidacy

Who it's for

CJC-1295 is most often pursued by adults over 30 experiencing age-related GH decline who want a natural optimization approach rather than synthetic HGH. California patients who ask about it typically fall into one of these groups:

  • Fitness-focused individuals pursuing body recomposition — lean mass gain, fat loss
  • Athletes focused on improving exercise recovery and reducing injury risk
  • Patients on a comprehensive anti-aging protocol alongside sermorelin, ipamorelin, or GHK-Cu
  • Those who want GH support without the cost or risks of synthetic HGH injections

What to expect

How it unfolds, week by week

01

Weeks 1–4

Improved sleep quality is usually the first change, with occasional mild water retention as GH levels increase.

02

Weeks 4–8

Enhanced exercise recovery, increased energy, and subtle improvements in skin tone are reported in this window.

03

Weeks 8–16

Visible body composition changes emerge with consistent training, alongside improved strength.

04

Months 4–6+

Meaningful lean mass development, sustained fat reduction, and bone density improvements. IGF-1 is typically monitored to keep levels in a healthy range.

CJC-1295 without DAC vs. with DAC

Without DAC (Mod GRF 1-29)With DAC
Half-lifeShort (~30 min) — produces pulsatile GH release mimicking natural physiology.Extended (6–8 days) via albumin binding — produces sustained GH elevation rather than pulses.
Dosing100–200 mcg daily, often combined with ipamorelin in the same injection.Dosed 1–2x per week — more convenient.
ConsiderationsPreferred by most prescribing physicians for long-term protocols.May cause more pronounced water retention and joint stiffness in some patients.

Safety

Side effects & long-term use

Based on current clinical experience, CJC-1295 (without DAC) has a favorable safety profile for long-term use under physician supervision. Because it stimulates natural GH production rather than introducing exogenous HGH, the feedback regulation mechanism remains intact — the body can regulate output. Potential effects to watch for:

  • Water retention, particularly when starting
  • Joint stiffness
  • Elevated IGF-1 if doses are excessive

Regular monitoring of IGF-1 minimizes these risks and keeps levels within a healthy physiologic range.

Pricing

Cost in California

Compounded CJC-1295 runs $100–200/month as a standalone. When combined with ipamorelin in a single vial — the most common protocol — the combined cost is typically $200–350/month. Physician consultation is $99–199 initially. See our full cost guide.
